View my video I am designing a “green friendly” house because it is important for the environment. The main ways that make this house “green” are by using solar panels and wind turbines as renewable energy sources; and my water collection system. My main source of energy is my solar panels. The location of my house is beachfront so my solar panels get sun while my wind turbines collect energy from the wind. There is a batter-like object on my roof that stores the energy. I use really “green” materials. First, I use cement that I make myself. I also use recycled steel. I think the design of my house is very unique; the overall structure looks like a space ship. The solar panels on my house are located on the southeast, south, and southwwest sides of my home. I did this so I can get the maximum amount of solar energy. I conserve water by having an automatic shower that is timed for seven minutes. Also, I have a motion sensor for every single faucet in my house so it knows when it should turn on and off. Finally, I have a dish washer and a washing machine that uses recycled water. I really like my house and I hope you do to.
