My house is green because I have a feeling that our power sources will
run out, and we will not have enough light and heat without using solar
panels. The following are ways that make my house green:
Water
My water supply is collected rain water and snow melt off the roof and
filtered so it is clean and purified to drink.
Energy
Chilaxen has solar panels that collect energy from the sun and gives light
to the house. The extra energy is saved in an energy-holding battery.
Also, it has windows that let light in during the day, so I won’t
always have to use as much energy from the battery.
Location
The location of Chilaxen is in Lakewood, Colorado. It is close to everything
I need like stores and work. Also, Colorado is in a place were it snows
quite a bit, so that would be good for water.
Materials
I’m using recycled materials for Chilaxen. The inside walls are
cans that are stuck together and covered with some weird cool wall stuff.
Then, the outside walls are insulated geothermal concrete so that the
heat stays in when it is cold outside in the winter.
Design
The design of my house is totally futuristic. Even though my house is
big, I’m going to generate enough power to heat and cool it.
