In an instant one persons life can be completely turned upside down! I know a 7 month old baby who's father lost patience and made a decision that has now made a huge impact on he and his child's life. This crucial decision was the choice to shake her. He will spend the next 10-20 years in prison but my little friend will now never walk or talk, she'll never know the excitement of little league sports, gymnastics or running through the snow. It was recently discovered that 1/3 of her brain has now died and disintegrated. Which includes the part that affects her ability to adjust to normal lights and sounds. Her vision is gone and she has a tube in her stomach for feeding. Despite therapy seven times a week her future is not very hopeful. Such an unfortunate outcome and many missed opportunities because of one poor decision. She will never be the same. This could happen to anyone-put the baby down and walk away. no baby should ever have to experience this. NEVER SHAKE A BABY!
