The large intestine is part of the Digestive System. It's located around the small intestine. It passes up the right side of the abdomen and crosses below the liver and stomach down the left side and then curves in an ' S' shape to the lower mid section of the abdomen. The large intestine removes water from chyme also called feces. At the end of the large intestine is the colen. It is the last stop for absorbing water and minerals into the blood. After that, the mixture becomes a solid known as poop. It pushes poop to the rectum until you go to the restroom.
