The Skin

The Skin is the largest and heaviest organ of our body. If you were to take it off , it would be big enough to cover two twin beds! Your skin is responsible for protecting the body from outside elements like rain, dirt, heat, cold and germs. If we didn't have our skin,our body wouldn't be able to control its temperature and it would dry up.

The skin is separated into 3 layers: the epidermis, which is the outside part, the dermis, which is the next layer down, and the hypodermis, which is the furthest inside layer.
