When I studied the Central Nervous System I learned about the medulla which is located at the base of the spinal cord. The medulla is in the shape of a roundish ball and looks like a knot. It is important because it controls involuntary movements such as sweating, heart beating, blinking, and breathing. Another reason it is important is because it helps support your back and neck. I liked learning abut the medulla and spinal cord.
